Direct correlation between structural and optical properties at the nanoscale


 

The realization of Raman spectroscopy and electrical transport on the same point along the nanowire

enables a better understanding of the properties and directly link the conductivity and mobility to the structure and doping concentration.

We are able to realize high resolution transmission electron microscopy and photoluminescence with accuracy below the nanometer along the nanowire. This enables to directly correlate the structure to the optical properties. This is specially important in the case of novel heterostructures such as the combination of wurtzite and zinc-blende phases.
